This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly organized individual seeking to progress their professional development. The successful candidate will gain first-hand experience of the processes involved in analysing and reporting sustainability data across Social topics and will gain extensive experience in the evolving corporate sustainability reporting landscape including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.

You will be part of a dynamic team with diverse backgrounds (accounting, data/environmental science, safety management, engineering), each member bringing unique and valuable skills to sustainability reporting at CRH. Key Responsbilities:

-Collaborate and lead to enable the corporate sustainability reporting team meet its goals in areas including data gathering, ESG reporting, data monitoring and compliance against key targets, policies and strategies. Developing reporting systems to ensure compliance against regulations, best practice and third party assurance
-Provide high quality analysis of data outputs helping to meet assurance requirements and implement and develop key review tools across the data reporting requirements.
-The Sustainability Review including processing and analysing Safety and Social data submitted by CRH’s Operating Companies covering over 3,390 locations in 28 countries
-Collating Safety and Social data for internal and external reports and presentations, including the Sustainability section of the CRH Annual Report, the CRH Sustainability Report and a Report to the CRH Board
-Contribute to continuous improvement and development of best practice in sustainability
-Work with the Sustainability Team in responding to internal and external stakeholder data requests
-This is a dynamic area and other duties and projects will arise
 

Education & Experience:

-4+ years’ experience in a sustainability role or similar, with a degree in similar background
-A background in either sustainability / environmental science / engineering / statistical analysis / science (general) or a combination of these, with; previous exposure to sustainability, human resource, human rights, health and safety or finance related subject matter being an advantage
-Experience or education in the social aspects of ESG/sustainability and/or safety management would be advantageous.
-You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word; previous experiences with databases would be an advantage as would having an appetite for upskilling in new software packages.
-Proven track record delivery of impressive results, experience on a successful cross functional project team would be an advantage
