The Marketing, Recruitment and Outreach Department have a vacancy for a Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer (0.4 FTE) to lead the development of relationships between Aston University and schools and colleges. You will be responsible for implementing an agreed strategy to grow applications but also build relationships with key stakeholders including prospective students, head teachers, school staff and parents.

You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop a variety of on campus events as well as being responsible for the project management of our three pre-applicant Open Days.

You will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent qualification. Previous experience of working within education and in a student recruitment, outreach or marketing environment is essential.

You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.  You will work as part of a small team but also need to work well independently.

Evening work is essential to the role and occasional weekend work.  A driving licence is essential, but if you are unable to fulfil this requirement due to (for example) health issues then please contact us for a discussion.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check for this role.

This role is on a job-share basis across two days of the week, ideally Monday and Tuesday as the job-share partner works Wednesday-Friday. Please contact the recruiting manager prior to application if you wish to discuss this further.
