An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our amazing technical team in the College of Health and Life Sciences. We are seeking for a proactive individual to join our laboratory operations team which support our teaching and research facilities.
You will join the Laboratory Operations technical team providing support to the Pharmacy, Neurosciences and Bioscience subject groups. Your day to day duties will include supporting practical classes and working with final year project students across subject areas such as tissue culture/aseptic techniques, immunology, molecular biology, pharmaceutics and medicinal chemistry.
Aston University is committed to the Technician Commitment and to supporting the career development of technical staff working across all disciplines. You will be supported to undertake a range of training and development activity including placements at other universities. As a minimum, you will undertake relevant technical and health & safety training.
Aston University is located within Birmingham City Centre and has accessible transport links via bus or train. There is on-site parking available at a discounted rate and also a cycle to work scheme.
