Here at Randstad Education, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support to a student with special educational needs in our vibrant primary school in Huyton. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 support to a student with special educational needs (SEN), both academically and socially.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized learning plans.
* Assist with adapting lesson materials and activities to meet the student’s specific needs.
* Promote inclusion, independence, and self-confidence in the student.
* Monitor and track the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
* Support the development of key skills, including communication, social interaction, and self-regulation.
* Work collaboratively with other professionals, including speech therapists and educational psychologists, as required.
What are we looking for:
* A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 3 Teaching Assistant, SEN qualifications, or equivalent).
* Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly in a one-on-one setting.
* Strong understanding of SEN and strategies for supporting children with a range of learning needs.
* Excellent communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A commitment to supporting the inclusion and well-being of all students.
