The Role – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated support to a Year 3 pupil with ASD, helping them engage in lessons and develop both academically and socially. You will collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored strategies that meet the child’s individual learning needs. The ideal candidate will be compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships that encourage confidence and independence. Experience supporting children with ASD or other additional needs is highly desirable.

The School – 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Located in Hackney, this welcoming primary school caters for pupils aged 3-11 and is a 5 minute walk from the nearest train station. The school is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where all children can thrive. Staff work closely together to ensure pupils receive the support they need both academically and emotionally. The school provides strong support for SEN, including pupils with ASD and ADHD, and has received a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted.
