We have a vacancy as Placement Administration Assistant, within the Employability and Apprenticeship Directorate.

The primary objective of this position is to support the Placement team by co-ordinating module-based placements compliance and reporting and overseeing administrative aspects of project-based/ funded internships within the University. This role will focus on ensuring UKVI and GDPR compliance for the module-based placements, employer records and support effective communication of the relevant schemes for the benefit of student experience.

As part of the new Strategic plan , the University of Greenwich intends to elevate its employability support for students, alumni, and employers, as well as growing and enhancing its apprenticeship provision. The university already has a long-held commitment to employment focussed degrees, and this department will play an essential part in ensuring the university is a sector leader in its relationships with employers and partners and is recognised as providing students with outstanding employability support.

We are looking for someone with demonstrable ability to meet deadlines and show good attention to detail when managing placement data and documentation. This is especially important to allow accurate reporting to UKVI and to meet legislation requirements. You will be able to work with a variety of stakeholders using effective communication and collaboration, including module leaders for module-based placements, the visa compliance team and the planning and statistics team to name a few. You will be able to clearly explain placement best practice to colleagues e.g. importance of our health and safety / insurance checks during the placement approval process, and our internal onboarding procedure (with the help of the People Directorate and our Student Jobshop Team). You will be able to use a creative approach to encourage colleagues to consider hiring a placement student. In addition, you will be able to use Microsoft packages effectively. We are looking for people who can help us deliver the values   of the University of Greenwich, including being inclusive, collaborative and impactful.

The University has been established for over 125 years and is an exciting and rewarding place to work, and was recently awarded Gold Teaching Excellence Framework. Situated on three beautiful campuses, the University boasts state-of-the-art facilities and an international student and staff community.
