We are looking to appoint an exceptional person to join the Estates and Facilities department, and provide a highly professional, proactive support service.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting the Director of Estates & Facilities and the Assistant Director Safety, Health and Environment (ADSHE). To assist the Estates, Facilities & SHE team with a wide range of administrative tasks. To assist the SHE team to fulfil its obligations under current legislation thus ensuring the University is not compromised from a SHE team administration standards perspective.
The role is challenging and requires a high level of discretion, dealing with a wide range of issues some of which are of highly confidential or of a personal nature on behalf of the SHE team. It is essential that the post holder is proactive, able to exercise good judgement, can prioritise conflicting and changing demands, with excellent communications skills verbal and written. A good level of common sense, ability to multi-task, whilst maintaining a calm and professional presence and good sense of humour are essential.
To assist with updating and management of health and safety records.
To assist with delivering on the SHE office requirements in line with the health and safety policy.
The post holder will play a frontline role in our SHE team and provide a close interface with University staff on a range of issues. We would like to hear from highly competent candidates who have experience of working in a busy office environment dealing with a varied amount of enquiries who is keen to progress their skills in a University setting.
