Account Manager – Industrial Chemicals (Benelux Region)
Location: Rotterdam (with travel across the Benelux)

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Account Manager to join the Industrial Solutions team, focused on specialty chemicals for sectors such as synthesis, lubricants, and fuels. You’ll play a key role in driving sales growth across the Benelux region by advising customers, identifying new opportunities, and building long-term partnerships.

Your Responsibilities

Drive new business development across the Benelux and identify key market trends and opportunities.

Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients, with a focus on up- and cross-selling.
*

Provide technical advice and product recommendations based on customer needs and market developments.
*

Translate commercial strategy into an operational sales plan, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
*

Build strong relationships with both customers and suppliers, maintaining a high standard of service and expertise.
*

Actively report on your sales pipeline, activities, and results using Salesforce (or similar CRM tools).
*

Collaborate with internal teams to support product launches and deliver customer-centric solutions.
*

Regularly visit clients and prospects to maintain a strong market presence and follow up on projects.

Your Profile

Completed HBO degree, preferably in Chemistry or another scientific discipline.
*

At least 3 years of experience in the chemical (synthesis) industry, either in a lab or commercial setting.
*

Knowledge of industrial sectors such as synthesis, lubricants, or fuels.
*

Experience in chemical distribution is a strong advantage.
*

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*

Fluency in Dutch and English is required.
*

Self-starter with a structured and independent working style.
*

Digitally literate, with knowledge of Salesforce considered a plus.
*

Willingness to travel regularly within the Benelux region.
