Diversity – Innovation – Caring – Global Collaboration – Winning Spirit – High Performance
At Boston Scientific, we’ll give you the opportunity to harness all that’s within you by working in teams of diverse and high-performing employees, tackling some of the most important health industry challenges. With access to the latest tools, information and training, we’ll help you in advancing your skills and career. Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.
You have knowledge of the cardiovascular and/or peripheral interventions field, ideally some experience in sales and account management but most important of all: you are that kind of person that knows how to navigate in the conversations with the physicians and other key opinion leaders you’re dealing with in this role. For us, that means being open, approachable and having great communication skills. Quick, you have your answer ready without coming across as arrogant or the know-it-all. Our people ten to be trusted advisors to our clients, providing them with high quality information.
Your work as Account Manager Peripheral Interventions
You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end sales process for the Peripheral Interventions team within region South/East in the Netherlands. Ideally you live somewhere in the area between Tilburg/Eindhoven, Arnhem/Nijmegen and Venlo/Roermond as you will cover clients from Maastricht to (a few) in Zwolle (nothing further up North). You will work collectively with the team to develop the annual strategic plan by sharing detailed business intelligence for the accounts in your responsibility.
Other things that are also part of your role are:
-Developing a stakeholder map, defining touchpoints and setting up an action plan for each of them. Of course, you also ensure the account information is updated in our systems on time as well.
-Building relationships to last with your clients, clinical Key Opinion Leaders and promoting Health Economics arguments and engaging with decision makers to discuss commercial programs and solutions. Based on your interactions with them, you are also able to spot upcoming tenders and commercial opportunities – and take action.
-Identifying and managing sales opportunities by supporting clinical colleagues and steps in for clinical selling opportunities in collaboration with the national sales manager.
Your background
Personality and soft skills are more important than in-depth expertise of our field – even though the expertise is also very welcome. Aside from that sparkling, entrepreneurial personality and skills we want you to either bring in-depth account management experience in the Med(Tech) environment to the table, or otherwise the industry specific expertise in the cardiovascular and/or peripheral interventions field. Even if sales/account management has never been the core of your responsibilities, we’d like to learn from experiences earlier in your life where you may have applied similar skills. In the ideal world, you have got it all – of course – but we also know that mindset and skills are crucial in your success.
When we er speaking of personality, aside from the things already mentioned, we are referring to someone that has a strong customer focus and is naturally curious with an analytical mindset.
A few practical requirements:
-You have completed studies in the medical science, economics or similar relevant education field.
-You have (at least) 1-3 years of relevant experience.
-You’re based in the South/East region of the Netherlands, ideally within the ‘triangle’ mentioned above.
-You’re fluent in Dutch and English.
What we have to offer
But now we’re talking. What’s in it for you? Why would you consider joining our amazing company?

You’ll join an organization with a genuinely people-focused culture where we foster collaboration. What truly sets the peripheral interventions team apart is their exceptional helpfulness, their strong sense of solidarity and the drive to support each other to achieve the best results possible.

Annually, we offer our people 30 days of PTO and for all parents in the EMEA region we offer an 18-weeks fully paid maternity/paternity leave when a new baby is born. For this role, you are also entitled to a company car.
Of course, we also offer you a in-depth onboarding, lots of flexibility and professional development & growth opportunities. As a matter of fact, we promote internal growth and moves as we want our people to keep challenging themselves. And… there is more:
-Motivation: you contribute to improving people’s lives every day.
-Health: we provide sports programs, a corporate fitness studio, personal trainer etc.
-Work-life balance: we support a healthy work-life balance with various activities such as “family days”, flexible working hours and wellbeing courses.
-Of course, you will receive a laptop, iPhone, tablet (if required) and other office equipment for your home.
