We deeply believe in our mission: “Improving quality of life by improving sight,” which is why we continuously develop our expertise and the technologies we use.Your role:We are now looking for a local accounting point of contact for GBS and all other parties.Main responsibilities:

• Provide subject-matter support to local and central teams.
• Liaise with the SSC and participate in the month-end closing process.
• Collaborate with auditors and local business units.
• Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
• Help adapt processes to legal and tax changes in coordination with GBS teams.
• Support internal controlling processes.
• Control the results of the teams responsible for accounting processes (SSC).
• Identify and propose improvements to drive efficiency and process optimization.

Must-have requirements:

• Advanced accounting knowledge – regardless of your education and experience, a thorough knowledge of commercial company accounting principles is a must.
• Knowledge of tax issues (VAT, CIT) and reporting obligations (US, NBP, Polish Central Statistical Office) – we consult with specialists on difficult and new topics, but it will be your job to identify such risks and needs.
• Good command of written and spoken English – most tasks are individual or local, however, contact with the Group’s international environment is daily and requires proficient communication (min. B1/B2).
