We are supporting a global medical technology company in hiring a General Accounting Manager for its Shared Services hub in Flanders. This leadership role is ideal for finance professionals who combine operational excellence with strategic thinking and who are motivated to drive transformation in an international environment.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead and develop a team of General Accounting professionals (Record to Report)
*

Ensure VAT compliance and oversee account reconciliations
*

Champion SOX and internal control compliance
*

Monitor SLA and KPI performance
*

Support global tax, treasury, and reporting processes with cross-functional teams
*

Drive transformation projects, including automation and system upgrades
*

Promote a strong culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability

Your Profile:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
*

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance, including team leadership
*

Strong expertise in VAT, reconciliations, SOX compliance, and RTR processes
*

Fluency in English (spoken and written), strong interpersonal and communication skills
*

Advanced Excel skills; SAP experience is a strong plus
*

Resilient, analytical mindset and proactive leadership style
