Job Title: Acoustic Consultant
Location: Belfast

I’m working with a respected acoustics and environmental consultancy that’s looking to hire an Acoustic Consultant for its expanding Belfast office. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a diverse workload of building acoustics and environmental noise projects across the UK and Ireland, while working within a supportive, well-established team.

You’ll play a key role in delivering acoustic input across residential, commercial, education, industrial and infrastructure schemes-helping shape effective, sustainable design solutions from the early concept stage right through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver building acoustics design and environmental noise assessments
*

Complete noise and vibration surveys, modelling and detailed analysis
*

Produce high-quality technical reports and documentation
*

Work closely with clients, planners and multidisciplinary design teams
*

Support business development and provide guidance to junior staff

About You

Degree in Acoustics, Physics or related discipline
*

2-5 years’ experience in building or environmental acoustics
*

Proficient with modelling software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, INSUL, CATT or Odeon
*

Solid understanding of UK standards/guidance (BS4142, BS8233, ProPG, etc.)
*

Strong written and verbal communication skills
*

IOA membership (or working towards it)
*

Full UK driving licence
