Experience in noise monitoring and reporting is essential. The candidate will have the opportunity of working within Ireland’s largest environmental and planning consultancy, gaining knowledge and experience in areas such as compliance reporting and impact assessment.The role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to work on projects across the country from our Galway or Dublin office. Hybrid working may also be possible.Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake environmental noise surveys at sites across Ireland for compliance reports and impact assessment projects, including occasional evening and night-time surveys.
  • Liaise with site operators when coordinating monitoring.
  • Analyse data to extract required information.
  • Prepare compliance reports and Noise Management Plans.
  • Contribute to EIAR noise chapters, including data analysis, predictive modelling, and assessment of impacts.
  • Take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
  • Provide regular project updates to other members of the Acoustic Team.
  • Have a good knowledge of survey methodology, reporting requirements, and the impact assessment process.

Requirements

  • A third-level qualification in environmental science, environmental engineering, or a related field that gives the candidate the necessary skills to complete the role.
  • A minimum of two years post-graduate experience in fulfilling similar functions or in a similar role.
  • A good understanding of environmental noise guidance and criteria applied routinely in Ireland.
  • Familiarity with using sound level meters.
  • Good communication skills, particularly in relation to report writing.
  • An interest in acoustics, and a desire to excel in this field.
  • A full clean driving licence.
