Offer DescriptionThe following qualifications are required of candidates entering the competition and skills:
1) a doctoral degree in medicine and health sciences or a doctoral degree in medical sciences;
2) Has a second degree specialisation or a specialist title in urology;
3) has at least 6 full-text scientific research and development publications published in peer-reviewed scientific journals on the list of scientific journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, including one in which the candidate is the first, equivalent first or correspondence author, including 3 published in the last 6 years before applying for the position of assistant professor;
4) the total number of points obtained for all publications according to the
accordance with the Communication of the Minister of Science of 5 January 2024 on the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed proceedings of international conferences is at least 500, and the total number of Impact Factor points obtained is at least 40;
5) has experience in the implementation of grant projects;
6) scientific output in the area of research and development works within the last 2 years before the application for the position of assistant professor was submitted, which would entitle to a positive assessment in the periodic evaluation of the scientific output of assistant professors conducted in accordance with the applicable Institute’s Rules and Regulations for the periodic assessment of scientific and research and development achievements of scientific and research and development staff, i.e. 100 points awarded for: (1) scientific publications in accordance with the Communication of the Minister of Science of 5 January 2024 on the list of scientific journals and peer-reviewed materials from international conferences, (2) obtaining a doctoral degree (100 points), a postdoctoral degree (300 points), supervising a completed doctoral thesis (50 points);
7) Work experience in an oncological urology department/clinic for at least 5 years in the last 10 years;
8) knowledge of the English language confirmed by publications as first or correspondence author in English-language journals.Additional criteria
A. At least 4 publications in urology and/or urooncology and/or clinical oncology published in peer-reviewed scientific journals;
B. experience in grant projects as a project manager or coordinator, or manager or coordinator of a research task;
C. Doctoral dissertation in the field of urooncology;
D. Habilitation dissertation in urooncology;
E. experience in a scientific and/or research and teaching position of at least 5 years;
F. Hirsch index of at least 6;
G. authorship of at least 5 monographs and/or chapters in medical textbooks;
H. participation in the scientific and/or organisational committee of scientific conferences oncological subjects;
I. membership in Polish and/or international scientific societies;

1) a declaration of entry to the competition for the post covered by the competition, together with a with the statement: “I consent to the processing of my personal data contained in the documents submitted by me by the Maria Sklodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology to the extent necessary for the competition proceedings, in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 1781)”;
2) a declaration to sign the statements: “I, the undersigned, declare that I will sign the following declarations on the date of signing the employment contract or annex to the employment contract – employment in a scientific position: “Declaration of consent to be counted as a researcher” and “Declaration of field and discipline” (field: medical sciences and sciences health sciences, discipline: medical sciences);
3) documents confirming your professional qualifications and the requirements laid down in section 1 of the competition notice – obligatory: copies of your diplomas, degrees and specialisations (originals to be submitted when you submit them);
4. a self-referral or curriculum vitae
