Administrative Assistant

The School of Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and organised individual to provide administrative support to academic and Professional Services staff within the school. Working as part of the Executive Team the role holder will be the first point of contact for enquiries from staff and will provide general admin support.

The role is full time and is offered on a fixed term basis until July 2025 when the substantive role holder returns from leave.

We offer flexible working, with a mix of working in the office (minimum of three days per week) and working from home, dependant on operational requirements.

The role holder will provide general office support to staff within the School of which key tasks could include photocopying, welcoming and directing visitors, arranging inductions, replenishing stationery, servicing of kitchens and teaching spaces, reporting maintenance issues and the processing of sickness absence. Typical tasks may also include assisting with data entry, researching and booking of travel, meeting arrangements, and supporting routine meetings and events.

We would like to hear from you if you have administrative skills with experience of working in a busy office or customer care environment and have a strong commitment to service quality. Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate organisational skills and those who are able to multi-task with often competing demands.
