Academic Liaison, Projects, and Engagement

Academic Liaison, Projects, and Engagement (ALPE) is looking to appoint an enthusiastic administrator to our team.  We are based within the Student Experience and Engagement Division and our role is to deliver initiatives, projects and activities which enhance the experience of our students and colleagues.

What do we need?

The role can be varied.   One day you could be servicing a meeting between students and academic staff and the next day you could be helping to shape and deliver the projects.  You therefore need to be adaptable, proactive and a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

No previous project management experience is required.  However, to succeed in this role you will need excellent communication skills and be receptive to new ideas with a willingness to learn.

The role will require you to engage with a range of different stakeholders; from administrators to managers to key academic staff, as well as colleagues across the Student Experience Directorate and the wider University.  You therefore need strong commitment to providing excellent customer service, and a positive and enthusiastic approach.

You will also have excellent IT skills, planning and organisational skills and ability to work well under pressure. You must be a competent user of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

What we can offer you

As a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity.

With a generous holiday allowance as well as additional university closure days we are committed to supporting our staff and students and open to a flexible working approach.
