An opportunity has arisen enabling experienced healthcare professionals to contribute to the support of Apprentices in the workplace related to the Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) Apprenticeship programme.  This position would suit people wishing to sample applied higher education and Apprenticeships, to see if they wish to continue their career in a teaching and assessment role. The role involves visits to several clinical sites, to support apprentices and employers; travel costs are reimbursed. Secondment applicants are welcome to apply.

The role would suit experienced practitioners familiar with advanced practice currently working in Band 6 positions, or above. The post requires an individual with well-developed leadership and organisational skills, capable of effective inter-professional and cross boundary working.

You should hold registration with the NMC or HCPC, and have educational experience in a clinical setting, or at a higher education institution. Knowledge of issues affecting clinical education, and evidence of CPD are important attributes. You should either possess a Master’s degree in a relevant subject, or be registered on such a programme.  The post is available for a fixed-term period of months initially.
