Advanced Practitioner – Locum Role

Merco Medical is recruiting Locum Advanced Practitioners to support the delivery of high-quality care within a busy Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in Sunderland.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ACPs looking for flexible locum work within a well-established urgent care setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, assessing and treating patients presenting with a variety of minor illnesses and injuries across all age groups.

We are looking for confident, autonomous practitioners who can deliver safe, effective care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shifts are between the hours of 08:00-00:00, with the most predominant shift pattern being 18:00-0:00.

Key Responsibilities:

* Independently assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a wide range of urgent and non-life-threatening conditions.
* Manage minor illness, minor injury, and paediatric presentations within the UTC setting.
* Contribute to the smooth running of clinical services through effective team collaboration.
* Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional and service standards.

Essential Requirements:

* MSc qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or equivalent is desirable)
* Independent Prescriber
* Accredited qualifications in Minor Illness and Minor Injury (L6 Minimum)
* Experience working with paediatric patients
* Must be able to see Injury and Illness
* Current registration with NMC (for nurses) or HCPC (for paramedics and allied professionals)
* Previous Emergency or Urgent Care experience

Rates

* LTD Company, between A£40 – A£55. Please enquire for PAYE.
