About You and the Role 

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Data Scientist in Internet of Things to work in partnership with IST and Nottingham Trent University (NTU) as part of a collaborative project.

We’re seeking a skilled professional with a background in Statistics, Data Science, AI, and Computer Programming to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be pivotal in implementing machine learning technology for virtual wards, evaluating the system for AI ethics and in-field performance, and liaising with stakeholders from the NHS to IT professionals for prototyping AI algorithms. An integral aspect of this role involves collaborating on multi-user, multi-site database design, interfacing with IoT sensors, and leveraging both SQL/NoSQL server databases.

You will have at minimum an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field e.g: Engineering, Maths, Physics, Statistics, AI or Data science.

The role is part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded jointly by Innovate UK and IST Ltd. As a KTP Associate, you’ll work with the academic team and colleagues across IST Ltd to embed knowledge and initiatives. The position will offer the ideal opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience in order to springboard your career.
