This role plays a critical part in the AI transformation agenda within WMI, spearheading the application of cutting-edge AI technologies, including Generative AI (GenAI), to enhance client experience, unlock new growth opportunities, and improve operational efficiency.You will operate within the WMI CDAIO team, working in close collaboration with business leaders, scientist teams, and technology partners to deliver innovative and responsible AI at scale. This role provides an excellent opportunity to influence and shape the strategic agenda for AI adoption and spearhead the deployment of Santander’s AI products within the WMI.Key Responsibilities:Define and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with WMI’s business objectives and Santander’s enterprise AI roadmapIdentify and prioritize high-impact AI/GenAI use cases across the value chain (e.g., hyper-personalization, intelligent automation, risk management, investment advisory)Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions, ensuring business relevance and measurable outcomesGuide cross-functional teams through AI project lifecycles—from ideation and experimentation to industrialization and continuous improvementSupervise the development and maintenance of predictive models and advanced analytics capabilitiesOversee AI research, proof-of-concept development, and technology prototyping, with a focus on innovation and rapid iterationEnsure all AI solutions comply with ethical, regulatory, and data privacy standardsBuild strategic partnerships with external AI vendors, cloud providers, and academic/research institutionsAct as an internal thought leader and ambassador for AI adoption across the WMI organizationRequired Experience:8+ years of experience in AI/ML roles, with a strong track record of solving real-world problems using advanced analytics and machine learning5+ years of domain-specific experience in financial services, ideally within wealth management, asset management, or insuranceDemonstrated success leading large-scale AI initiatives and multidisciplinary teams in complex environmentsHands-on experience with Generative AI technologies and their business applicationsExposure to end-to-end productization of AI models in enterprise settingsEducation:BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related fieldRelevant certifications in AI/ML and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plusSkills & Competencies:Deep expertise in machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and GenAI techniques (including prompt engineering)Strong programming proficiency in Python and AI development libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)Experience working with cloud-based AI platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Solid understanding of financial services technology and use casesStrong foundation in predictive analytics, data science methodologies, and MLOpsKnowledge of data privacy, model governance, and responsible/ethical AI frameworksStrategic thinker with the ability to translate complex AI concepts into actionable business outcomesExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, across technical and non-technical audiencesChange leadership and experience driving organizational transformation through emerging technologiesWhat do we offer?Immediate incorporation to a dynamic and agile company with a growth and expansion project.Working in start-up mode with the support of Grupo Santander.Competitive remuneration and attractive benefits package.Possibility of growth within the company and the Group.Collaboration in international projects and possibility of contact with different countries.Excellent work environment, social clubs and frequent events.Would you like to grow with us?
