Work somewhere with the creativity of a scaleup and expertise of an enterprise.We’re looking for a world-class AI Research Engineer to join our Team in Milan.You’ll investigate, assess, and refine cutting-edge AI models, acting as a bridge between research and production; you’ll improve the research codebase by advocating for code reuse, implementing best practices, and ensuring reproducibility of experiments and you’ll manage large datasets, overseeing acquisition, labeling, and data loaders. You’ll also collaborate closely with software engineers to deploy models in production, while also contributing to the design of advanced internal tools and technologies. You’ll work closely with Product Engineering teams to understand their AI needs and achieve breakthrough results. You’ll always stay updated with the latest trends in the field and share knowledge with the team.RequirementsWhat You Have

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as an AI research engineer or more than 2 years of experience and a PhD.
• Extensive expertise in the fundamentals of deep learning, including a profound understanding of key aspects such as model validation, regression, and classification techniques.
• Strong knowledge in at least one of the following fields: NLP, Information Retrieval, Conversational AI, Computer Vision.
• Strong Python programming skills and experience.
• Knowledge and experience with version control systems, e.g. Git.
• Proficiency in PyTorch.

What Would Be Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with distributed systems, particularly in on-device algorithm development, with a focus on High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems.
• Proven record of contributing to AI publications, highlighting a keen understanding of cutting-edge research.
• Good knowledge of one or more MLOps tools.
