We are looking to further strengthen our growing team. The analytics developer will join a team of business facing analysts, data scientists, and analytics developers located in our three sites in Ireland (Dublin, Galway, Belfast) as well offshore resources. The lead data scientist will report to the Head of MI & Analytics.The role will combine the responsibilities of data modelling and analytics development. The analytics developers will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders in order to provide analytical and technical support for MI/BI and analytics activities. The role requires to develop reports, dashboards and interactive data visualizations, and work with data repositories (warehouse / lake / lake house), data integration and data modelling to support business decisions, leveraging data to gain key insights into business opportunities.The analytics developer will build the company’s analytics capabilities while also ensuring distribution and delivery of high-quality analytics solutions and MI/BI artefacts. They will support the democratization of data and enablement of business users to conduct self-service analytics. The analytics developer will be instrumental on defining guardrails around self-service by setting standards and guidelines, as well as educating, training, and working with citizen analyst and developers.As part of his data modelling activities, the role holder will describe, document and model, the information that are important to the organisation. The role holder will create end user-approved data models, work with the D&A architect who “owns” the enterprise data model and develop business data glossaries and ontologies. They do this to support data quality, data privacy and security, data lineage and integration, data governance, runtime models, and database schemas — all to achieve organisation wide consensus about the meaning of data. During the data modelling activities, they will consult with relevant subject matter experts from as many departments and user bases as necessary, modelling business requirements with consistency and coordination.The individual will have strong communication skills backed by solid technical capabilities. Proven experience successfully managing the delivery of analytics projects across multiple business functions is a requirement.Regular business trips will be organised to meet key stakeholders in RSA Ireland offices (Dublin, Galway, and Belfast).Key Responsibilities:Engage with stakeholders on a regular basis to:
