Apprentice Acquisition

For our Programming & Acquisitions Department we are recruiting an Apprentice (joining date as soon as possible for 12 months; position based in Paris, Neuilly-Sur-Seine).

Is this the role for you?

As Apprentice Acquisition you will support and assist the acquisition team based in Paris in the artistic selection (scenario’s reading, overview of distributor’s catalog) and help on the back-office workload, both for streaming’s acquisition (Paramount +) and brands (Game One, J One, Paramount Channel, BET…). You will be reporting directly and working closely with the local acquisition Manager.

What will you be doing?

Key responsibilities: 

• Help to build and fill all acquisition tools.
• Support the pre-acquisition and post-acquisition process.
• Preparation of acquisition’s order.
• Liaise with editorial teams.
• Preparation of weekly investments and artistic committees.
• Take part in tracking acquisitions, recording invoices and new suppliers.
• Evaluate content opportunities through market monitoring, reading of treatments, scenarios, and catalogs of all genres of content (scripted, unscripted)
• Help in preparing markets and festivals.
• Focus on editorial recommendations for linear channels.
• Regular meetings with several internal teams (legal, material, PR and communication among others) and participate in external meetings with distributors and producers.

What are we looking for?

Candidates’ ideal profile: 

• Exceptional attention to details and comfortable with tabs and sheets
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree (ideally specialized in law or Media industry)
• Passionate about content (all genres, and Japanese animation is a huge plus).
• Good knowledge of the media and platform industry.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Strong Microsoft office skills.
• Multi-tasks profile
