The Job
A progressive and forward thinking farming business is seeking an experienced Arable Farm Manager to take responsibility for a large scale arable operation in Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern, well invested farming enterprise with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and high performance crop production. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day to day operations while driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the farm.
Key responsibilities include Full management of arable operations across a large scale farm Planning and delivering cropping programmes to maximise yield and quality Managing cultivations, drilling, spraying and harvesting operations Overseeing machinery use, maintenance and investment planning Leading and supporting farm staff and contractors Managing crop inputs including fertiliser, sprays and seed Ensuring compliance with environmental, health & safety and assurance standards Working closely with agronomists and senior management Driving innovation, sustainability and best practice across the business The Candidate Proven experience in arable farm management Strong technical knowledge of crop production and agronomy Experience operating and managing modern farm machinery Previous team management or supervisory experience Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and inputs Forward-thinking with an interest in sustainable practices PA1/PA2 (essential), BASIS (desirable) Full UK driving licence The Package Salary circa £50,000 DOE Accommodation available Company vehicle Ongoing training and development Long-term opportunity within a progressive farming business
