Architectural Technologist

Location: Guildford

Salary: GBP32000-GBP40000 (dependent on experience)

A well-established and design-focused architectural practice in Guildford is seeking a talented and proactive Architectural Technologist to join its growing team. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, and education. This RIBA-chartered firm blends technical precision with a commitment to innovation.

The ideal candidate will bring solid experience in the retail sector and demonstrate confidence running projects across all RIBA stages. A strong knowledge of UK building regulations, excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative approach are essential.

Responsibilities:

* Produce detailed construction drawings and technical specifications in collaboration with the wider design team
* Manage projects through all RIBA stages, including site coordination and client liaison
* Ensure designs are fully compliant with current UK building regulations and best practice
* Undertake regular site visits to monitor project progress and ensure design integrity
* Support planning applications and building control documentation
* Coordinate effectively with architects, consultants, and contractors throughout the design and delivery process

Experience:

* Degree (or equivalent) in Architectural Technology
* Strong technical knowledge of UK building regulations, construction detailing and materials
* Proven track record delivering retail projects, ideally within a UK practice
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
* Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
* High proficiency in Revit (essential)
