Assembly Operative sought by a global, £multibillion plastics manufacturer with close to 200 locations worldwide.
 
This is a permanent role, 39 hours per week Monday to Friday, based at their production facility in Hounslow, London.
 
The Role:
As an Assembly Operative, you will join the team responsible for the production of the company’s tambour door range. Your duties will include:

– Working on the assembly line and producing our products based on specific measurements, calculations, drawings or instructions under the supervision of a Level 2 Assembly Operative or Supervisor
– Packing boxes, loading and unloading materials and finished goods and adhering to safety protocols
– Inspecting assembled products for any faults or defects
– Reporting incidents, faulty operations, or product imperfections on the assembly line to Supervisor/Production & Site Manager
– Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly

 
Assembly Operative Person Specification:

– Previous experience in a similar Assembly Operative role
– Good knowledge of manufacturing safety protocols and regulations
– A forklift licence would be an advantage, but not essential
– A solid understanding of production machinery and proper assembly procedures would be an advantage, but not essential
– An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics would be an advantage, but not essential
– The ability to lift heavy pieces of equipment (within safety guidelines)
– Able to work individually and as part of a team
– Strong attention to detail
– Takes pride in your work
– The ability to understand and receive instructions
– Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
– Ability to work on one’s own initiative
