Bringing together traditional and alternative investments, Goldman Sachs Asset Management provides clients around the world with a dedicated partnership and focus on long-term performance.As Lead Portfolio Manager within MAS Third Party Wealth channel, the candidate will work with the team in designing and constructing portfolios for a broad set of clients, with a focus on large DC pension schemes. This role is client-facing and highly analytical, focusing on developing and communicating customized investment solutions and asset market views to clients.Responsibilities and your Impact

• Your key clients will be large institutions and distributors, in particular Dutch DC pension funds that we service as a fiduciary manager. You will become part of a cross-functional fiduciary client team and interact frequently with a dedicated group of clients.
• Contribute to a broad platform that serves as the client’s main point of contact for a diverse set of functional areas, including portfolio management, strategy and research, sustainable investing, trading, operations, legal, and compliance.
• Provide a superior level of service across all aspects of the client experience, including asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and reviews, risk management, management of client inquiries, ad hoc issue resolution, coordination of client meetings and representation in client investment committees.
• Build, construct and present investment solutions, including investment cases, asset allocation and portfolio construction proposals and Lifecycle investment solutions.
• Strong awareness of client interests and investment trends coupled with the intellectual curiosity to explore and research those areas in order to best deliver the resources of the firm to our clients.
• Work on special projects that build out the service model and infrastructure to create scale and efficiencies within the client relationship manager function
• Grow within the role to become an effective client advocate within the Asset & Wealth Management Division and find creative ways to deliver the resources of the firm

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• University degree or equivalent
• At least 7 years prior work experience, preferably at an asset management firm
• Strong project management skills, ability to deliver on tight timelines, hands-on approach to resolving issues, detail oriented and a pro-active mindset
• Understanding and expertise in building investment solutions for Defined Contribution, ability to contribute to both liability hedging and growth portfolios
• Broad understanding of both liquid and illiquid asset classes as well as Asset-Liability Management (ALM), Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and Liability Driven Investing (LDI) and the expertise to deliver these solutions to the client.
• Experience in a client centric role and strong verbal and written communication skills
