Vacancies/positions:1Type of contract: full timeApplication deadline: 31.05.2025Estimated date of the contest settlement: 30.06.2025Envisaged job starting date: 01.10.2025Period of employment: 2 years (01.10.2025-30.09.2027)The competition is open to each candidate who meets the requirements set out in the Higher Education and Science Act of July 20th 2018 (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1668 as amended) and the Statute of University of Wroclaw.Requirements * Doctoral degree in: socio-economic geography and spatial planning or in geography with a specialization in tourism geography.

• Teaching experience in the field of tourism geography, tourism economy, marketing in tourism, management, economics.
• Very good knowledge of English and confirmed ability to conduct classes in English on issues related to tourism, tourism management, marketing.
• Very good knowledge of the Polish language confirmed for foreigners with a B2 level certificate and the ability to conduct classes in Polish.
• scientific publications in the field of tourism geography.
• Very good computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office).
• Ability to use GIS tools (Geographic Information Systems).
• Organizational predispositions for the implementation of didactics, conferences, scientific research and field activities.

Very welcome are: * Active participation in scientific conferences.

• Documented participation in courses, trainings, didactic projects in the field of socio-economic geography and tourism geography.
• Editorial experience.
• Practical experience, confirmed by relevant documents, related to business activity on the market of tourist services.
• Other forms of scientific, professional and application activity (scholarships, awards).

Responsibilities (in the research area, teaching area, organizational area, respectively):research area

• Independent and team research.
• Establishing cooperation with scientists / researchers from other scientific centers.
• Obtaining external funds for conducting scientific research.
• Initiating cooperation with entities of the socio-economic environment.

didactic area

• Conducting classes in Polish and English as well as field classes.
• Supervising diploma theses.
• Cooperation with Academic Science Clubs.
• Participation in the process of organizing the educational process.

organizational area

• Active participation in projects undertaken by the Department of Regional Geography and Tourism (including the organization of seminars, conferences, thematic meetings, etc.).
