With an adaptable and creative approach, the organization has the ability to respond to every client need.Your department/teamThe Assistant Group Controller plays a key role in initiating and contributing to group-level policies, procedures, and (financial) process improvement projects. Additionally, this role assists in enhancing the risk and control framework, master data management, financial group-wide applications, and sustainability reporting. The Assistant Group Controller is also responsible for parts of the financial administration and closing activities of assigned legal entities.Your tasks and responsibilities

• Initiate and contribute to group-level policies, procedures, and manuals.
• Participate in (financial) process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support the enhancement of the risk and control framework by assisting in identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
• Assist in master data management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Manage user access for financial group-wide applications, including providing user support and contributing to system enhancements.
• Enhance the use and analysis of available data in the data warehouse with the help of Power BI.
• Support the development of sustainability reporting, including gathering data and supporting the preparation of reports in accordance with ESG/CSRD standards.
• Assist and perform part of financial administration and closing activities for assigned legal entities.
• Contribute to the annual closing process.
• Manage expense claims and credit card processes.
• Prepare claim overviews and work closely with the legal department on handling claims by or to the company.
• Collaborate with finance teams in other regions to ensure alignment on group-wide financial processes, policies, and reporting requirements.
• Assist with analyses of investment programs/projects or any other related topics as assigned.
• Assist finance control colleagues during peak periods (holidays, sickness, annual closing) to ensure smooth operations and compliance with deadlines.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned by the manager or supervisor.

Your knowledge and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Meet all requirements as stated in the company competence and training matrix.
