We fulfill this mission as a strong institution, based on a community of employees, students, and alumni.The Dean of the Faculty of Psychology in Sopot at SWPS University announces a competition for the position: Assistant ProfessorTasks:
- Performing teaching duties in both full-time and part-time studies; in core subjects according to the schedule
- Conducting diploma seminars
- Preparing and implementing documentation for classes: syllabi, evaluations, archiving student works
- Preparing content and classes plans
- Participating in thesis defenses
- Coordinating the work of other lecturers in preparing classes
- Collaborating with the Head of the Department
- Ensuring the development of teaching competencies through participation in internal training organized by both the faculty and the university, e.g., during the Teaching Competencies Week
- Acquiring and implementing scientific research projects
- Conducting scientific research and publishing its results
- Participating in Department and Faculty meetings
- Readiness to undertake assigned organizational functions and tasks at the Faculty
- Organizing and participating in initiatives carried out by the University and Faculty
- Participating in activities promoting the University, Faculty, and Institute
- Representing the University and Faculty in a professional environment
RequirementsResearch Field Psychological sciences » Psychology Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in social sciences in the field of psychology or related disciplines, as well as a master’s degree in psychology
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in conducting teaching activities with students and preparing teaching materials
- Fluency in Polish and English languages
- Experience in obtaining funding for organizational activities and project implementation
- Publication of scientific papers in indexed journals from the MNiSW list, with preference for journals from the JCR list
- Participation in the implementation of national and international grants (as a project leader and/or executor)
- Awards and distinctions for teaching and scientific activities
- Active participation in national and international scientific conferences
- Experience in popularizing and commercializing the results of scientific research
- Research interests in the areas of general psychology, cognitive psychology, emotions and motivation, personality psychology, and individual differences, neuropsychology
- Readiness to work on weekends
- Declaration of employment at SWPS University as the primary place of work
- Experience in teaching in English is welcome

Eligibility criteria
- Scientific achievements – 50 % of the final score
- Teaching achievements – 40 % of the final score
- Organizational and practical achievements – 10 % of the final score
