• PhD in computer science or PhD in another discipline with confirmation of scientific achievements in the discipline of computer science or technical computer science;
• Polish language command in speech and writing;
• English language command in speech and writing, ability to write scientific articles in this language;
• have experience in conducting specialized teaching classes in the field of computer science or technical computer science;
• have experience in implementing and/or applying for scientific projects;
• have documented experience in controlling experiments, and in particular in the construction of control systems based on embedded systems,
• have documented experience in creating software for analyzing measurement data,
• an additional advantage will be having the authorizations/practice to conduct didactic activities within other disciplines conducted at WFIS.

The obligation of an academic teacher is to conscientiously and diligently perform the assigned tasks and to follow the work-related orders of superiors, unless they are contrary to the law. An academic teacher is obliged in particular to: * comply with applicable legal provisions, in particular the provisions of the Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742);

• comply with the applicable provisions of internal law of the University of Lodz, in particular those contained in the Work Regulations of the University of Lodz and the Regulations on the remuneration of University of Lodz employees;
• comply with applicable occupational health and safety rules, as well as fire safety regulations;
• take care of the good of the employer, protect his property and keep secret any information the disclosure of which could expose the employer to damage;
• immediately notify superiors of any accident or threat to human life or health noticed at the university.

2. Scope of responsibilities at the position held: * in terms of teaching duties:

• conducting teaching classes carried out as part of an employment relationship on an annual basis, specified by the Senate, for full-time, part-time and postgraduate studies, including conducting teaching classes using distance learning methods and techniques;
• timely preparation of study documentation for academic teachers;
• conducting examinations and tests, including diploma examinations;
• conducting and reviewing diploma theses;
• developing teaching materials for classes;
• conducting consultations with students, 2 hours a week;
• ensuring high quality of education and compliance of teaching work with the principles of the internal education quality assurance system;
• performing other teaching duties assigned by superiors;

• within the scope of scientific duties:
• conducting and participating in scientific research and development work;
• obtaining funds for scientific research by applying in competitions;
• dissemination of the results of scientific research or development by publishing the results;
• active participation in conferences and scientific seminars, financed as part of the tasks carried out by the unit or on other principles adopted at the university;
• participation in the commercialization of research results (patents, protection rights, implementations);

• in terms of organizational responsibilities:
• work in collegial bodies of universities and in faculty, senate and rector’s committees;
• work on recruitment committees and examination committees in the recruitment process for studies;
• organizing promotional and presentation campaigns of the university and participating in them;
• organizing conferences, symposia, seminars and other forms of academic activity;
• performing functions assigned by superiors, including: the role of a year tutor or a student group tutor, supervision of scientific clubs and research camps, supervision of students’ professional internships;
• other organizational activities aimed at improving the functioning of the university, improving the quality of education and scientific research;
• performing other organizational duties assigned by superiors.
