Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin is seeking to fill the following full-time academic position: Assistant Professor in Medieval Irish History, School of Histories and Humanities Trinity College Dublin. This role is a 5 Year Fixed Term – Tenure Track post. The School of Histories and Humanities at Trinity College Dublin seeks to appoint a talented individual to a tenure-track Assistant Professorship in Medieval Irish history. This post will be based in the Department of History, and its primary purpose will be to engage in teaching and research on any aspect of Irish history in the period from c. 950 to c. 1450. We would particularly welcome candidates whose focus will complement and extend the Department of History’s continuing strengths in medieval Irish history with, for example a research specialisation in any aspect of the history of Gaelic Ireland, the Anglo-Norman Conquest, or the political, religious, cultural, intellectual, gender, or socio-economic history of Ireland in the period from c. 950 to c. 1450. Appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€41,500 to €99,550 per annum).
