The University of Nottingham is looking to appoint an Assistant Professor to contribute to teaching and support for student learning on our suite of MSc courses in work psychology. This is a fantastic opportunity to further develop these well-established and popular courses for the next generation of occupational and business psychologists.
You will work alongside our existing teaching team to co-deliver modules on well-being at work, introductory and quantitative research methods as well as associated module development and marking. You will also supervise MSc applied research projects aligned to your own research interests and provide pastoral support to students. Although this is a teaching and learning focussed post, the appointed individual will be allocated 20% of their time for research activities and have the opportunity to supervise postgraduate research students.
Candidates should hold a PhD in Occupational Psychology (or equivalent discipline) and have experience in delivering postgraduate level research-led teaching in work psychology and providing pastoral care to home and international students. They should have experience and achievement in their chosen field within work psychology with a growing national reputation. We are seeking candidates with a track record of delivering excellent teaching at a postgraduate level, a commitment to the delivery of quality services to provide an excellent student experience, and an interest in contributing to innovation in curriculum development, course design and course delivery.
This is a part-time (0.5 FTE, 18.13 hours per week) permanent role.
Informal enquiries may be addressed to Dr Fiona Gavin at [email protected]. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
