With an enviable reputation for leading design education in this field, known for links with industry and a nineteen-year track record of graduates who have progressed to leading positions in design studios all over the world.As an Assistant Professor (Teaching) you will be proactive in motivating and supporting students in studio-based practice. Experience working in sketchbooks and practical design / product development are essential, focusing on garment and accessories. Understanding of fashion events is advantageous.Candidates must have strong and up to date awareness of developments within the fashion industry and be enthused to work in innovative and experimental ways across our suite of fashion courses, developing directional and globally competitive portfolios of work with our students, and enhancing the visibility of the courses through contributing to promotional material.Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honors Degree and an appropriate professional qualification and/or membership
• PhD or active membership of an appropriate professional body would be advantageous.

Successful CandidateOur successful candidate will be keen to continue/build an academic profile in creative arts education and experienced in the field of fashion.
