Associate Professor in Data Visualisation

Interview date: To be confirmedFacultyWe are seeking an Associate Professor in Data Visualisation to support the Centre’s activities in research, education, CPD, and consultancy.Our Centre is multidisciplinary, undertaking high quality co-created applied research that (i) informs the design and implementation of new technologies in national and international health and care systems; and (ii) explores the impact of such technologies on patients, service users, carers, and health and social care professionals. Employing theory-driven approaches for design and evaluation, the Centre’s research offers an understanding of the contextual factors that impact the success of an innovation, informing both future technology design and its implementation.SafeguardingThe University of Bradford is committed to safeguarding, protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and Adults at Risk through robust safer recruitment practices.What you will be doing:This is an indefinite position, available from August 1st, 2025. The successful applicant will undertake multi-disciplinary, high-profile research that aligns with one or both of the Centre’s two flagship research programmes concerned with 1) use of technology to improve decision making and reduce documentation burden, 2) use of technology to reduce the carbon footprint of the health and social care system.Qualifications/ experience:You will have a PhD in Data Visualisation or related subject or demonstrate equivalent experience. Additionally, you should have experience of securing research funding and a track record of high-quality academic publications. Application of data visualisation to health datasets is particularly desirable.In Return we Offer:
