Applications are invited for an Associate Professorship of Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery. This position will be held within the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences, University of Oxford, leading to a permanent academic post upon the successful completion of a probationary period. This is a joint appointment with a non-tutorial Fellowship at Wolfson College.

You must be medically qualified and be a FRCS (Tr&Orth) or equivalent, and you should have a higher degree (PhD/DPhil). You will show evidence of distinction in research through publications and invited lectures, and have sustainable peer-reviewed funding in trauma research, as well as a commitment to promoting awareness and understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.

The Associate Professorship will be held in conjunction with a non-stipendiary honorary contract with the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and you will undertake clinical, administrative and other hospital duties as agreed by the divisional board and the NHS.

The principal duties will be to conduct international quality research in the field of trauma surgery, with an emphasis on musculoskeletal conditions, deliver teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, share in the administrative work of the Department and College, and carry out administrative duties as agreed with the Head of Department and College President.
