The newly created role will be part of our Group Risk Advisory function. The Assurance Data Analyst (f/m/d) will be a key contributor to executing the Assurance Data Analytics strategy for wefox’ assurance functions (Risk Management and Group Internal Audit). Responsibilities include leveraging data analytics capabilities to execute data driven risk assessments, audit testing and provide assurance on the effectiveness of the organisation’s risk management and strengthening internal controls. The Assurance Data Analyst (f/m/d) reports directly to the Assurance Data Analytics Lead within Risk Advisory.

In this role you will: 

  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of data analytics solutions, including
    • Supporting the team to identify use cases
    • Gathering business context
    • Formulate hypotheses
    • Finding the right data sources
    • Preparing, exploring and transforming data
    • Visualising results
    • Presenting and explaining results to stakeholders with various seniority levels
  • Providing data driven solutions to risk assessments, Key Risk Indicators (KRI), control testing, ad-hoc investigations, Internal Audit planning and reviews, Management Reporting
  • Build and maintain data pipelines on a SQL based tool (DBT)
  • Develop self-service dashboards based on Power BI
  • Develop data ingestion scripts (Python)
  • Act as a coach for data analytics within the Risk Advisory team and educate colleagues about analytical use cases and data literacy.

 

What you bring:

  • Experience in an analytical role in Banking/Insurance or Audit/Risk management experience with a strong exposure to data analytics
  • Bachelor degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance & Accounting). Professional certifications or graduate degree is a plus
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and analytical skills. Ability to structure and solve problems
  • Advanced level of SQL and intermediate Python. 
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools (Power BI or similar)
  • Keen interest to learn about business processes and technology
  • A good grasp of statistics is a plus
  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills
