We believe that if we have talented and ambitious people who are passionate about innovation, there is no limit to what we can achieve.The PositionIn the frame of a post PhD contract in partnership with GIE AIFOR, we are looking for an experimented biochemist (PhD obtained since less than 3 years) with theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of protein refolding and a good experience with protein purification and proteins in general to join our New Biological Entities Research department located in Saint-Priest, France. You will contribute to the establishment of an innovative Virus-Like-Particles platform for companion animals.
This position is a 18-month mission, and could be extended by 6 monthsTasks & responsibilitiesIn your new role, you will:
– Construct and realise experiments to refold proteins from inclusion bodies and obtain a well conformed and stable protein.
– Optimize buffers, help for protein purification.
– Participate to the characterisation by using several analytical tools such as FT-IR, nano DSF…
– Collaborate with internal and external analytical, process and formulation R&D experts.
– Run and maintain equipments
– Maintain accurate documentation of experimental procedures and resultsRequirements– PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical sciences, or related disciplines, obtained since less than 3 years
– Hands-on expertise in protein refolding
– Experience with protein characterization techniques including SDS-PAGE, Western-blot. Nano DSF and FTIR will be a plus– Organizational skills
– Excellent analytical skills
– Open minded, curious
– Hands-on skills,problem-solving mindset
– Team player with excellent communication and presentation skills
– Very good knowledge of English, French is a plus
