Business Developer – Sustainable Innovations in Functional Coatings

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and market groundbreaking sustainable building technologies. Your mission will be to lead the development of value propositions, manage strategic partnerships, and drive innovation in functional coatings and polymer films. With a focus on smart and sustainable solar solutions, you’ll help bridge the gap between research and market application.

Key responsibilities include:

* Leading the development and commercialization of advanced R&D projects.
* Building partnerships across the value chain, including glass processors, coating specialists, polymer film producers, and building industry stakeholders.
* Negotiating contracts, licensing deals, and expanding networks within the sustainable building and construction sectors.
* Collaborating with scientists, engineers, and business development experts to translate research into actionable solutions.
* Supporting the creation of a go-to-market strategy for innovative technologies.

What You Bring

* A degree in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related discipline.
* At least 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in coatings, polymer films, or flat glass industries.
* A strategic mindset, with a proven ability to manage public-private partnerships and develop new market propositions.
* Proficiency in Dutch and English (B2 level or above).
* Experience in international environments and a willingness to travel are a plus.
