Business Development Executive – Education and Research

Wolfram believes in the power of computation to improve education and research. For more than 1/3 century, Wolfram has pushed the boundaries of what’s possible through a diversity of technologies, solutions and ground-breaking initiatives, including Universities, governments and the wider education sector are not always aware of what’s possible, and how changes in the real-world can benefit education.

This business development role is about bringing that vision and reality to universities and the reform of mathematics to all sectors involved. We are looking for a highly organised, proactive professional to join our team, responsible for managing and developing this business.


  • Seeking out and building relationships with senior stakeholders in universities

  • Building utilisation of Wolfram technology and services to improve education and research

  • Pitching visions and develop business for computer-based maths curriculum and associated services across the school, university, government and industrial sector

  • Developing a pipeline of new business

  • Conducting client meetings

  • Attending events as and when required to develop leads and connections


  • Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage, E.g. maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or related technical or quantitative field

  • Proven interest or background in education

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients

  • Willingness to travel as required

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Hybrid working is available for this position. Office: Remote, 60:40
