Business Development Executive – Education and Research

Wolfram believes in the power of computation to improve education and research. Universities, governments and the wider education sector are not always aware of what’s possible, and how changes in the real-world can benefit education.

This business development role is about bringing that vision and reality to universities and the reform of mathematics to all sectors involved. We are looking for a highly organised, proactive professional to join our team, responsible for managing and developing this business.

Responsibilities:

  • Seeking out and building relationships with senior stakeholders in universities

  • Building utilisation of Wolfram technology and services to improve education and research

  • Pitching visions and develop business for computer-based maths curriculum and associated services across the school, university, government and industrial sector

  • Developing a pipeline of new business

  • Conducting client meetings

  • Attending events as and when required to develop leads and connections

    Qualifications:

  • Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage, E.g. maths, physics, engineering, computer science, or related technical or quantitative field

  • Proven interest or background in education

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients

  • Willingness to travel as required

Salary: £35,000-£40,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Hybrid working is available for this position. Office: Remote, 60:40
