The Global Licensing & Royalty Management (“GL&RM”) organization is responsible for all aspects of managing third-party IP (software, web/cloud services, content etc.) assets for (a) integration into SAP solutions and services and/or (b) offering as standalone solution extensions with SAP solutions and services.
By enabling such assets, we enhance SAP’s ability to deploy amazing solutions and services. We work in close cooperation with various SAP stakeholders, including but not limited to, SAP development organizations and lines of business, legal, global support, finance, partner organizations, etc
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Business Operations Specialist will play a key role in supporting and optimizing GL&RM for operational efficiency. This role may encompass improving processes, managing data, supporting compliance activities, providing tools and systems support, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, agile, and interested in enhancing business operations to support the licensing and compliance activities of third-party IP.
This is an opportunity to develop a broad skill set in operations, including potentially in the areas of project management, compliance, and data management, while making a direct impact on business success.
The role will report to the Head of Business Operations, Global Licensing & Royalty Management
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
Responsibilities may include working in the areas of:

-Process improvement and support – assist in the definition, analysis, and optimization of business processes across GL&RM. Work to streamline workflows and drive the implementation of best practices to enhance team efficiency and overall operational effectiveness.

-Data management – support data management activities, ensuring data is accurate, complete, and easily accessible.
-Compliance and risk management – support the team in meeting regulatory requirements and managing compliance-related initiatives such as the DORA Act and data privacy protection.
-Tool and system support – provide support for systems and tools used within GL&RM. Collaborate with IT teams to identify opportunities for tool improvements or new tool adoption to increase operational effectiveness.
-Documentation and standardization – contribute to the development and maintenance of templates, approval documents, and other standardized resources to ensure consistency and efficiency
WHAT YOU BRING

-Analytical thinking – strong ability to analyze matters, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
-Communication and interpersonal skills – clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong working relationships and work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organization.
-Project management – experience supporting cross-functional projects. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
-Tech-savvy – familiarity with AI and automation tools is a plus
WORK EXPERIENCE
3-5+ years’ experience.
