Business Resilience Specialist

The Business Resilience Specialistsupports and monitors the Business Resilience program across all SCOR’s functions and locations, ensuring that BIAs and BCPs are reviewed and approved within appropriate timeframes. This includes ensuring that a consistent framework is in place to systematically identify, measure, mitigate, report, monitor and manage the most relevant resilience risks that can impact SCOR’s operations. Additionally, the Business Resilience Specialistsupports the development of the resilience culture, through dedicated trainings, events, testing and exercises. 

• Develop and enhance the Business Resilience framework in collaboration with relevant functions and stakeholders
• Review, enhance, and coordinate the implementation of the BCM Policy
• Support the development, coordination, and monitoring of the Business Resilience program
• Support the process owners across functions in the development, review, and overall execution of the BIA and BCP processes
• Collaborates with IT to ensure alignment between Business Continuity and IT Service Continuity
• Provide dedicated training to the BCM correspondents on the BIA and BCP processes
• Support the Head of Business Resiliecne in the preparation of Crisis Management exercises
• Collaborates with the Head of Operations Governance to enhance the SCOR’s supply chain resilience by participating in Third-Party risk assessments and monitoring of critical Third Parties from a BCM perspective
• Develop responsive and recovery capabilities in collaboration with other functions (e.g., Cyber, Legal, Communications) to improve crisis management readiness
• Supports local entities in enhancing incident management capabilities and exercising

Required experience & competencies

• Proven track record in similar roles within a global financial institution
• Good understanding the re/insurance business and processes is a plus
• Excellent understanding of the BIA and BCP processes
• Very good knowledge of IT service continuity and cyber resilience
• Very good understanding of Operational Resilience and BCM regulations (e.g., Operational Resilience in the UK, DORA in the EU)
• Strong program management skills
• Very strong interpersonal skills and excellent team player

Required Education 

• Bachelor/Master degree in Operational Risk Management/Business Continuity Management or relevant industry experience.
• Professional certification in (e.g., CBCI, ISO 22301) is a plus
