Detailed job description and main responsibilities
What you’ll do
You will work closely with your team of patient pathway coordinators to support the delivery of a comprehensive administration service with varied duties including managing the transcription of clinic letters, follow-on actions from the outpatient clinics, facilitating the sending of electronic referrals, booking clinic and bloods appointments, receiving telephone calls from patients, updating the patient database, and general administration duties for the department such as photocopying, scanning and distribution of mail.
You will provide administrative support utilising the hospital IT systems such as CHARTS and eCamis, and Office software such as Outlook, Word and Excel. Knowledge of the Trust’s electronic systems would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a pro-active individual who can work with minimum supervision and be able to prioritise your own workload. You will need to be able to communicate effectively with patients and team members, so it is important to be articulate and polite. You will need to be able to work well across a large team with a flexible approach to multi-tasking.
