Cannock Chase is one of the largest country parks in England and lies within an internationally
important protected landscape. As the largest surviving area of heathland in the Midlands, it
is crucial for nature.
As Site Manager, you will play a major role in shaping the future of the Chase. Leading an
enthusiastic team and working closely with partners and stakeholders, you will drive the
management of the site to safeguard it for future generations.
Main Responsibility
- Leading the strategic development and management of the country park
- Delivering ambitious plans for nature recovery
- Celebrating and interpreting the Chase’s rich cultural heritage
- Championing inclusive access and engagement with visitors and communities
The Ideal Candidate
You will have:
- Great leadership, team and partnership working skills
- Degree or equivalent in ecology/environmental management
- Significant understanding and experience of countryside and environmental management policy
and practice and managing public sites - Experience of managing countryside stewardship or equivalent schemes and other externally
funded initiatives
