We’re an inclusive and welcoming community that is constantly moving forward, never satisfied with the status quo.

About Us

The Careers and Student Enterprise Service is the academic, career and employability nucleus of the University of East London. The goal of the service is to support every student to achieve academically, gain the skills for the 21st century workforce, and build direct pathways to employment. The service’s approach has innovation and creativity at its core. To improve progression, retention and graduate outcomes, the service utilises innovative technology and research, which has shown impact on our students’ satisfaction, behaviour, and outcomes.

About the Job

Our Career Consultants are at the heart of our Careers & Student Enterprise service providing frontline support to students from career-planning to interview preparation. You will support students on a one-to-one basis, as well as delivering a range of topics to small groups and larger workshops. We encourage applications from individuals who want to take ownership of developing the careers-first content for underrepresented groups and international students, who are eager to support, develop, and provide industry insights that will benefit our students.

About You

Successful applicants will have experience of delivering careers guidance, information, and advice, using a variety of methods, with further experience of developing high quality, interactive learning materials. Excellent networking and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to communicate, through various mediums, to internal and external audiences.
