This is a casual, part time, fixed term position for 40 weeks within the academic year 23/24.
Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) is located on a beautifully green and pleasant campus just a few minutes’ walk from Lincoln Cathedral, Castle, and the old Roman city. Our story began in the 1860s as an Anglican teacher training college for women, which makes us one of the oldest Higher Education Institutions in the UK. Since then, we’ve grown, adapted and modernised to become the thriving university we are today. We’re still experts in teaching and education, but we’ve now got a wider portfolio of exciting degree courses than ever before. We currently offer causes in a wide range of subjects, from Undergraduate Degree level to PhD, and much more in between.
The Students’ Union is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, and focused RFU Rugby Development Officer, to work 12 hours per week on a fixed term basis for 40 weeks within the academic year 2023/24. Work will include driving engagement within the BGU student community to participate in Rugby and Rugby related activities, targeted support to all BGSU rugby teams to meet development plan targets, the development of local and national Rugby connections and supporting the work of the elected VP Clubs and Societies.
Applicants must be well versed in the game of Rugby, its operations, and requirements. You will require excellent interpersonal, communicative, and collaborative skills and be able to work effectively along side colleagues and students.
Please direct informal enquiries to Connor Short, BGSU President, via email at [email protected]
