Another important part of our portfolio is our own brands PEAQ, KOENIC, ISY and ok.A subsidiary of CECONOMY AG, in 2021/22 MediaMarktSaturn and its approximately 50,000 employees generated total sales of about €22.2 billion.The exciting things you will do:As a Category Manager IT Hardware (Laptop & PC Desktop), you will play a critical role in optimizing our IT procurement strategy, ensuring we leverage the best technologies while maintaining cost efficiency and strong vendor relationships. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end category management of IT-related products and services, including hardware, software, cloud solutions, and IT services. Your expertise will guide decision-making processes, drive contract negotiations, and support our digital transformation. Furthermore your key resposibilities are:

• Develop and execute IT procurement strategies that align with the company’s goals and technology roadmap of the suppliers.
• Manage the IT category across two subcategories; notebooks and desktops
• Conduct market research and benchmarking to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and innovations.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure optimal value, quality, and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, online and our stores to understand business needs and align procurement strategies.
• Monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contract terms.
• Analyze spend data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement within the IT category based on Customer Journeys.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers, fostering strategic partnerships and ensuring continuous alignment with business needs.
• Develop and maintain promotion and pricing strategy; to guarantee best offers for our customers.

Who are you?Next to being a nice colleague to work with you have:

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Marketing or Business Management.
• 3+ years of experience in Category Management or Procurement.
• Proven experience in negotiating complex contracts and managing supplier relationships.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, forecast trends, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Goal-oriented mindset keeping the ultimate goal in mind.
• Fluent in English and Dutch (the language to report work is Dutch).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels.
• Strong personal organization, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
