Category Manager – Commercial (Maternity Cover)

Your new role
As Category Manager – Commercial, you will be responsible for defined categories within the Commercial cluster, covering Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Medical Affairs. Your role will focus on developing, maintaining, and executing category strategies that support business priorities and create measurable value.
You will work in a context where the Commercial Procurement cluster is newly established and where categories differ in maturity. The business environment is dynamic, with increasing launch complexity and an evolving portfolio that includes both new launches and mature brands. This is a 15-month fixed-term position, covering a maternity leave, where you will support continuity and progress in category management.
Working closely with stakeholders, you will help strengthen early dialogue, bring insight and structure into decision-making, and support clearer and more aligned ways of working. While execution remains part of the role, your primary contribution lies in category strategy, stakeholder partnership, supplier governance, and performance follow-up.
Your future team
You will join Corporate Procurement, a global function of more than 60 colleagues located in Copenhagen, Krakow, and Chicago. We work in close partnership with the business to support the Lundbeck value chain through professional category management, transparent governance, and a well-established source-to-pay framework.

The position is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
What you bring to the team
We are looking for someone who enjoys working with both strategic and tactical aspects of category management and who values collaboration with the business.
-+5 years of experience within category management,
-Experience working with categories within Marketing, Commercial Operations, and/or Medical Affairs
-Ability to engage constructively with stakeholders and translate business needs into clear category priorities
-A structured, analytical, and pragmatic approach
You communicate clearly, are comfortable working in an evolving setup, and contribute with sound judgement and openness to different perspectives. Experience from regulated industries, including pharma, is an advantage.
