JOB PURPOSE:

To strengthen our Procurement Organization and support McCain’s business during a very challenging context, we will be hiring a Procurement Indirect Services Category Manager. The best candidate will be responsible for sourcing most of McCain’s Indirect Services for the Europe & Great Britain regions. 

This role is a key member of the CE &GB Procurement Team. Reporting to the regional Head of Indirect Procurement and will be deeply involved in core sourcing activities across 4 main areas and 2 regions: 

• Marketing: media buying, print, ER/Com agencies, market insights & intel/data
• Human Resources: temporary labour, recruitment agencies, learning & development activities
• Professional Services: financial, business & engineering consulting
• GBS: most other global business services related categories, excluding Software/IT

The right candidate will also play a key role within the CE & GB Procurement team. In challenging and participating in the implementation of our Procurement Road Map, including our digitization efforts. We expect the person that joins us to be a fast starter, bring external expertise and contribute in elevating the maturity of our procurement organization. The right candidate will bring along technical mastery, sourcing experience and people management/leadership skills.

WHERE YOU’LL WORK:

France (Villeneuve d’Ascq)

Report to: Indirect & Supply Chain procurement director CE & GB 

Managing people : 1 buyer responsible for indirect sourcing 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Partner with the regional Service teams and support day-to-day McCain operations
• Source, develop and simplify the existing and future supply base to meet McCains needs
• Drive cost saving opportunities, deliver Sustainable Cost Advantage and enable meeting global

Procurement KPI’s

• Manage key suppliers and act on McCains supplier relationship management strategy
• Ensure market intel sharing with key stakeholders and interna business partners
• Develop the right amount of regional sourcing strategies to cover the larger indirect spend areas
• Deliver upon key KPI’s of the procurement organization: savings, cost avoidance, supply base

simplification, sustainability

• Project management as needed to drive projects forward

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor degree education level
• Best practices on category procurement strategies for indirect services
• Global sourcing and supply strategies
• Financial and cost modelling
• Experience in Contract Manufacturing, Energy, Facility Mgmt will be considered a plus
• Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Able to influence, challenge and negotiate across a wide range of suppliers, internal partners, stakeholders, potentially up to board level
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work in a x-functional, x-cultural and evolving environment
• Ideally 7+ years of procurement & services experience. With a significant part of that time spent on indirect services sourcing
• Experience in delivering exceptional procurement value in a complex environment, having supported major transformation and change programs
• Services / Industry background
