Job Description:The Data Platform Tribe within Technology Services / Data & Functions provides Danske Bank with centralized Data Warehouse, enterprise reporting, and analytics services across multiple banking domains.The Data Warehouse Platform Squad:

  • Manage DW infrastructure, including capacity planning, performance tuning, resource optimization.
  • Drive the migration of Data Warehouse platforms to the cloud with a focus on scalability, security, and efficiency, aligning with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, processes, and best practices for platform operations.
  • Measure and report platform performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting needs.
  • Lead the modernization of Data Warehouse infrastructure with scalable and future-ready data platforms.

As a Chapter Lead, you will partner closely with the Product Owner in a “2 in a box” model, ensuring the squad operates efficiently using agile methodologies. You will be responsible for guiding the implementation strategies-the “how” of task execution. Your pivotal role will focus on transforming our current federated data platform into a new, event-driven solution, enhancing both on-premises and cloud integrations as part of our F28 Strategy.As a Chapter Lead, you are an innovative and experienced leader, blending deep domain expertise with a passion for coaching and developing others. You act as a “player & coach,” spending approximately 50% of your time managing your Chapter, and the remaining 50% as a doer in a Squad delivering value by completing work.You will:

  • Lead and mentor the Data Warehouse admin team, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
  • Manage and optimize Data Warehouse infrastructure, including capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource allocation
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for migrating on-premise data warehouses to a cloud-based platform
  • Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement automation to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards across the Data Warehouse ecosystem
  • Redesign and optimize ETL/ETL pipelines for seamless integration into the cloud environment
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess workloads, prioritize migration phases, and minimize disruption to business operations
  • Continuously measure and improve platform performance, identifying areas for optimization and cost savings

About you:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in data infrastructure within a Data warehouse technologies
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience
  • Strong experience in cloud-based solutions like AWS, Azure for modern data platforms
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a high-performing technical team
  • Problem-solving skills with ability to identify issues proactively and deliver efficient, innovative solutions
  • Aptitude for driving platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives smoothly
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Advanced English language skills
